Personal Data Protection Notice under Turkish Law No. 6698 (KVKK)
Note: The Turkish-language version of this notice is the governing text. This English translation is provided for information purposes only. In the event of any discrepancy, the Turkish text shall prevail.
Under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("the Law"), personal data includes all information and documents that identify a person, such as name and surname, address, date and place of birth, telephone number, electronic mail address, educational background, training information, health data, work experience, religious and ethnic information, references, and any other identifying information contained in a person's personal record.
The personal data referred to above may be processed by NEOLIFE Grup Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerliği Anonim Şirketi ("NEOLIFE"), in its capacity as Data Processor ("Veri İşleyen"), in the scope described below.
Your personal data will be processed for the following purposes, within the framework of insurance legislation and other applicable laws and regulations: the issuance of insurance proposals and individual pension contracts; the performance of policy and contract obligations; risk assessment; insurance sales and marketing activities; claims payment and assistance activities; fulfilling services under insurance contracts through insurers and other business partners; determining insurance premiums; collecting premiums; offering insurance and individual pension products, services, advantages and campaigns; enabling all forms of communication including information, promotion, marketing and sales, and sending commercial electronic messages for those purposes; fulfilling obligations prescribed by legislation; verifying the identity of parties to transactions; creating records and documents in electronic or printed form; fulfilling document retention, reporting and notification obligations required by law; and for statistical purposes.
Your personal data is collected by automatic or non-automatic means, in verbal, written or electronic form, through NEOLIFE's website, social media channels, mobile applications and similar means. It may be collected and updated while you use training, seminar, course or conference services; attend organised events; visit the website or social media accounts; or receive SMS communications.
Your personal data will also be processed for: evaluating your job application and suitability for the relevant position; conducting and concluding recruitment processes within the framework of NEOLIFE human resources policies; considering your application for similar positions that may arise in the event of an unsuccessful outcome; contacting you for that purpose; and developing and improving NEOLIFE's recruitment principles.
Your collected personal data may be used internally by NEOLIFE and, within the framework of insurance and other applicable legislation, transferred — for the purpose of preparing mandatory reports — to various institutions and organisations including the Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Authority (SEDDK), the Insurance Information and Monitoring Centre (SBM), and the Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers Association (SBD); to reinsurers; to insurance and individual pension companies and their intermediaries; to parties to policies and contracts; to direct and indirect domestic and international group companies and affiliates; to persons and organisations providing services and partnerships for carrying out the activities described under applicable legislation; to private organisations such as information technology, actuarial and expert services providers engaged to carry out insurance activities to the extent permitted by law; and to the Social Security Institution (SGK) and other legally authorised public bodies — in accordance with the personal data processing conditions and purposes set out in Articles 8 and 9 of the Law.
Your personal data may be collected, based on the legal grounds specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law, through NEOLIFE branches, call centre, internet branch, digital channels, policy and contract parties, intermediaries and all channels through which they provide services, domestic and international affiliates, cooperating institutions and organisations, insurance and individual pension companies, official institutions, domestic and international banks, and other third parties — verbally, in writing or electronically; fully or partially by automatic means, or by non-automatic means as part of a data recording system.
Personal data and sensitive personal data belonging to parties to insurance policies and pension contracts are collected directly from you through our head office, branches, internet applications and call centre, and from databases to which access has been granted by public authorities for the purpose of fulfilling obligations arising from insurance contracts.
Your personal data is processed solely for the purpose of conducting insurance activities, and only for the legal periods required by that purpose, within the framework of Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data and other applicable legislation.

Your requests will be concluded by NEOLIFE free of charge, in the shortest time possible and within at most 30 (thirty) days, depending on the nature of the request. However, where processing incurs an additional cost for NEOLIFE, a fee at the rate set by the Personal Data Protection Board may be charged.
Pursuant to Article 10 of Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, titled "Obligation of the Data Controller to Inform", I have read and understood this Notice, which sets out by whom and for what purpose my personal data will be processed, to whom and for what purpose the processed personal data may be transferred, the method and legal basis of personal data collection, and my rights under Article 11 of the Law, and I confirm that I have been duly informed on these matters by NEOLIFE, which holds the status of data controller.
